The Setlist for March 28, 2025

Not news

The Jays got blown out bad on opening day, I’ve been travelling for work for most of the week. There’s a bit of a melancholy mood to this week’s playlist.

I did see The Boojums and The Bug Club play this week (with No Frills, watch this space). Higly recommend seeing any of them if you get the chance. The Bug Club was absolutely feral live – one of the most energetic sets I’ve ever seen.

New records this week: girlpuppy, Snapped Ankles, Better Joy, The Orchestra (for Now) and Bellzzz, plus a really interesting looking compilation records from Halocene Trance.

Long week, long playlist. Enjoy.

Standout tracks

“Coat” by Sex Week
A spellbinding new single from these blog faves

“Aimless in Blue” by St. Dukes
Starts off like a Strokes song, but takes on a life of its own.

“Fierce Weng” by Fierce Shook and Peng Weng
This is a weird, chaotic single from a punk band and a mysterious experimental artist. More here
