The Setlist for April 11, 2025

Introduction

This week’s mix is kind of bonkers. I started out with too few songs on Thursday morning, and at one point I had more than 40 contenders. I’ve whittled it down to 30, but I just can’t go any further.

This week I realized I have a real weakness for #dutchindie music, and I have at least two more artists from The Netherlands to feature in the next few weeks. Don’t know how these artists keep finding me (not true, it’s 3voor12’s YouTube channel).

A few great new records out today: Ribbon Skirt, Mamalarky, Honeymoan, Leela Rosa, Kills Birds, Clutter, Bellzzz, and probably a dozen more.

Got a record I should hear? Let me know about it.

Standout tracks

“Calcium, Unlikely” by Francis Kelly ft Morphia Slow
That vocal is distinct and might take a minute to grow on you. Give it a chance, the song is gorgeous.

“Six Feet Under” by Leela Rosa
A moody, immersive single from a new artist from The Netherlands (of course).

“Circles” by Scott Evil
This song has a racing, swirling momentum that’s irresistible.
