I heard her music first because blog fave Hornet shared her video on Instagram a couple weeks ago. She’s only released a couple of songs, but they’ve been on repeat since last week.
She nails the 90’s throwback grunge feel, landing somewhere between Cannonball and Zombie, or maybe something off the Empire Records soundtrack. I love the gradual change in her voice from saccharine to seething. I almost overlooked her music at first but the melodies are so catchy I caught myself singing this one in the kitchen over the weekend, which convinced me to share them:
That one has a bit of a Garbage sound, and the melody is a perfect earworm. I love the busy drumming. Can’t wait to hear more.
