I’ve had this tab open for a couple of weeks and just got around to watching it. It’s a 2008 BBC documentary about Detroit music in the 1960’s from John Lee Hooker and Motown, through Parliament Funkadelic, the MC5, the Stooges and Alice Cooper, and bridges to the White Stripes and Eminem. (Aside: I’ve got my eye on this Stooges live record coming on Record Store Day.)
It’s got some great performance footage lots of little bits of trivia. Iggy Pop comes off strangely like a slick salesman, but it’s fun to hear him sound off on his distaste for Alice Cooper.
