The story on upward mobility is right up my alley (and the Pudding website is an instant addition to the feedly list)
The SDG site from the World Bank is mind-blowing for use of infographics (I could just play with the globe on the homepage for hours), and will be a back-pocket resource for planning design work.
The best though is CNN’s report on Britain’s border protection. The visuals are incredible and make the story more compelling, but the story itself is stunning too. Reminded me of the horror of Sally Hayden’s My Fourth Time, We Drowned.
“Technology could very easily be used for search and rescue, for finding boats faster and for preventing these horrific disasters. But unfortunately the reality on the ground is the opposite. It’s assisting powerful actors to be able to sharpen their borders and make it more difficult for people to come.”
I didn’t know CNN was doing stuff like this!
