Heading into the holidays with low-effort posts killer performance videos

It’s a quiet time of year for new music and there’s enough stuff competing for attention that I’m not gonna try too hard. I’m busy and you’re busy. For each of the 12 weekdays leading up to the 24th, I’ll post a video of a live performance that I’ve loved this year, and link to the artist feature here. There’ll be a couple staged ones (KEXPs or whatever), but I’m going to try to post full sets in front of a crowd.

Day One: Punchbag

Courtesy of fan favourite Lou Smith. Play it loud, this is such a great set by a band who had zero commercial releases at the time. If I was in the right timezone, this band would be #1 on my “see ’em live” list. If you are, and they aren’t, seek help. They’ve since released one song on Bandcamp.
